“The Power of Prayer is Unlimited”
- James 5:17-18
- Matthew 21:22
- Matthew 17:21
- John 15:7
- Acts 16:25-26
Prayer is a conversation with God. When we pray we are speaking one on one with the creator of everything. In everything you ask in prayer and believe you shall receive if you abide in Jesus and he abides in you. There are 3 keys.
You must 100% believe it is going to happen. When you sit in a chair you have 100% faith that it is going to hold you up and it usually does. That is the kind of faith you should have when praying.
We must be committed to the cause. God wants to see our commitment to the request. By fasting when praying your showing God self sacrifice to the cause.
You must abide in Christ and he must abide in you. When you abide in God you will pray for things that are in line with what God wants. Your prayers are in the will of God. Praying for millions of dollars, a beach house, or a Jaguar is a selfish prayer and is not being prayed from a heart abiding in Christ. Instead a person who abides in Christ will pray for enough money to pay the bills, a roof over their head, and a car good enough to make it from A to B.

What Counts?
Even when things are going wrong in your life, it can be God working on you for a greater good. An example of this can be seen through Joseph. Joseph went through many trials but it led him to the throne.
1. What counts is not what your remember but what you choose to forget- Joseph forgave his brothers who wronged him and sold him to slavery.
2. What counts is your Character. With God your a Hero; Without him your a Zero- God with was with Joseph throughout his entire ordeal and Joseph obeyed. Conduct without Character is hypocrisy and Character without Conduct is disobedience.
3. What counts is not the way we are on the way up but how we are on the way down. Joseph was obedient during the hard times which led him to the top.
4. What Counts not what you get in life but what you give. With each praise of greatness that Joseph was shown, he gave the glory to God.
5. What counts is not what you know but who you know. Knowledge about God and to Know God personally is what led Joseph to greatness.

4/21/13 – “True Fellowship”
- 1 John 1:3-4
Imagine for a minute that you were homeless, cold, and hungry. The only food you ate was the remnants of food in a dumpster. One day out of the blue, the Presidential limousine came by and picked you up. You were then escorted to the White House, where you were given a room to stay, food to eat, and servants to meet all your needs. You opened your heart to the President, and he did the same to you. You realize there are others in the house that share your story and also have a room there and all their needs met… Sound too good to be true? It’s not! Transform this picture to Christ and His acceptance of you into His kingdom after your life of sin. If you have accepted Christ into your life, you have experienced a variation of this story. Much like everyone at house having similar story, everyone in Heaven was once lost but became found by God!
As we all know, relationships with humans can be great and can also have their downfalls. A relationship with Christ has no downfalls! We can have fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ, but without a relationship with Christ and Him being in the center, we can not have TRUE fellowship. In 1 John 1, John is saying that true joy exists in the experience of true fellowship. If you don’t have true fellowship with Christ, you can’t have true joy. Fellowship with one another without fellowship with God is not a true Christian fellowship. Christ must be the center of the fellowship and the sharing of the treasure of His Word.
We were there we they crucified Christ… We were the first to put the nails in his hands and his feet. When Christ rose from the dead, He took the keys to Heaven and Hell… That is one reason WHY we can have true fellowship with God. When we come to church, the One who we are trying to impress should not be one another, but should be God…and He said COME AS YOU ARE! Thank God in the good times and the bad… praise Him through the storm, as well as after the storm has ceased. As in any relationship, it requires work. Work on your relationship with God! Don’t find yourself in a distant relationship/fellowship with God, but instead have a close one with Him and it will become closer.
