The Empty Tomb
When the Mary’s made their way to the tomb of Jesus, they discovered it was empty. It was empty because Jesus was no longer dead. And no, this was not an episode of The Walking Dead. He had came, bore the punishment for our sins, and was crucified. His task was finished. He had finished taken the toll for every sin that was ever and will ever be committed.
He died and arose so that when we die our soul will arise to Heaven. Our soul, which is dirty of sin and unfit for Heaven, is cleansed with the blood he shed and deemed worthy of Heaven.
Today is the day we celebrate an empty tomb. We celebrate this empty tomb because this empty tomb means an eternity in Heaven.
